1. Who we are
We are DSPT – Associação Portuguesa de Ciência de Dados (“we”, “us” and “our”), a non-profit association registered in Portugal, whose registered office is at Edifício Central, Rua Alfredo Allen, n.º455/461, 4200-135 Porto. We organise the Conference DSPT Day 2019 (“Conference”).
2. Attendance Requirements
2.1 Minimum Age
You must be at least the age of 18 to attend the Conference.
3.1 Registration Policy
By completing the hard copy registration form or our online registration, you are accepting our Terms and Conditions.
Each ticket must be assigned to one participant, and all participant details must be complete, including first name, last name, email and other profile details. Only fully completed registration forms will be accepted.
In the cases where a registration fee exists, an invoice will be sent after the receipt of your registration and a confirmation of payment will be sent upon receipt of payment in full. If the full payment has not been received before the deadline indicated, the registration will remain valid, however the due fee will be increased according to the payment period (early/normal/late).
3.2 What is included
The conference ticket gives access to all conference sessions: the talks, the debate session, the opening session and the closing session. It also gives access to a dedicated channel for networking, in case that is available.
In the cases where participants wish to make a small donation as a contribution to the organization of the Conference, these can be done at any time by following the instructions sent after registration. All donations are non-refundable, except in the case of cancellation of the conference.
If you need a VAT invoice, you should send us a request via email to email@example.com with the following information: full name, address, VAT and proof of payment. Please note that the invoice can be issued up to 30 days after the request.
In the cases where a registration fee exists, you are eligible to cancel your purchase of a ticket up until 14 days before the start of the event without giving any reason. To receive a reimbursement of payments, you need to notify us in writing of your decision to cancel your ticket to firstname.lastname@example.org. The refund will be made in the same form as the original payment was received (for example, a credit card payment will refund to the same credit card number). You acknowledge that all refunds are subject to deduction of the administration fees.
4. Image Usage
You consent to:
- us (or someone on our behalf) or our partners taking photographs, and making audio and video recordings of you at the Conference (“Recordings”);
- us sharing the Recordings to promote the Conference in any manner we see fit.
You understand and agree that we own all rights (including copyright and other intellectual property rights) to the Recordings.

Under these circumstances, we reserve the right to reimburse the participants after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the Conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.
